Empowerment and Support for Breast Cancer

The Breast Cancer Warrior Project was created to empower and support those with breast cancer.  It was created by artist/writer, M.E. Cassani, also a breast cancer warrior.  It is a subsidiary of My Words Publications.  We are not fully functional yet but will have T-shirts for sale very soon! 

The Breast Cancer Warrior Project uses  painting/images by famous artists printed on T-shirts. They are works in the public domain (no copyright infringement) used to draw attention to the issue of breast cancer.  

For centuries, women and their breasts/bodies have been the  subject of fine art around the world and considered a standard of beauty for women. At Breast Cancer Warrior Project these same famous images have been edited to depict the reality of breast cancer creating a symbolic scar. They also comment on the fact that a woman who has had mastectomy or lumpectomy, etc, is still beautiful even though her breasts have been taken, reconstructed,  or scarred. She is still, like the graphics say, A Classic Work of Art.   

All the original artists have been honored  in the use of their images by making their names visible on each graphic.  These T-shirts were created to support women with breast cancer as well as those who support them.  Partial proceeds will be donated to innovative research into breast cancer looking for new and novel treatments.
